Permanent Orders

Road Traffic Regulation Act Sections 1-5, enables Medway Council to make Traffic Regulation orders providing for the prohibition, restriction or regulation of the use of a road by vehicles or pedestrians.

Temporary Orders

Medway Council is empowered under sections 14-16 of the same act, to prohibit or restrict temporarily traffic or pedestrians on a road by reason of road works, danger to the public or serious damage to the road or for the purpose of litter clearing and cleaning.
