Accident data collection

Kent Police supply detailed personal injury accident information to Medway Council on a regular basis. The data is checked and entered on the accident database, which is available for the Accident Investigation Team. This data is then used to analyse and identify accident black spots.

Local residents and academic institutions can receive information from the accident database free of charge but consultants and professional bodies are charged for this service. The Data Protection Act 1998 limits the level of detail the public can receive, however.
