Medway Council provides a range of services for residents to help them recycle and dispose of their waste.

It provides a weekly rubbish collection as well as fortnightly collections of recycling and garden waste from flats and houses. Advice is also available about composting at home and reusable nappies - two more ways to reduce the amount of waste Medway sends to landfill sites.

Even more items can be recycled at Medway's 54 recycling points and three household waste and recycling centres.

If you have a large or bulky item that you want to get rid of, why not try one of the locally active reuse schemes? Alternatively, if the item is beyond reuse, Medway Council will collect the item from you.
