News, activities and events

A round up of the latest news, activities and last minute courses from Medway Adult and Community Learning Service (MACLS).

It’s not too late to enrol on a language course

MACLS still has vacancies in French at beginner level and also in German, Spanish and Italian at various levels. Now is the time to brush up your existing skills or gain some new ones to help you when you go on holiday next year.

For those people who already have a Level 1 qualification in British Sign Language and want to extend their skills, there are some vacancies in the Level 2 course.

Please phone Julie Fullman, Curriculum Manager for Languages and Communications, on 01634 338472 or email julie.fullman@medway.gov.uk.

Do you have a story to share?

Every past or current learner has something in common, regardless of the course they choose and the subject field in which they are interested. Whether it's carpentry or quantum physics, every leaner has the power to motivate and inspire others to change their lives through the MACLS programme.

Enrolling for a course can be a daunting process and we are looking for learners who have gained skills, friends or a new hobby from their course with MACLS.

If you want to share your story and inspire others to take up the learning challenge, please use the contact details at the foot of this page.

Are you thinking of a career change?

If you work in an office and want to increase your skills, Sage accounts and Sage payroll are two courses now on offer with MACLS which may help you do just that. The courses are an introduction to the subject, with progression opportunities available if you wish to take your studies further.
