Nursery Education Grant payments to non-maintained providers

Although there are six terms in the school year, Nursery Education Grant payments to non-maintained providers will continue to be made three times each year. Head counts will take place near the start of Terms 1, 3 and 5. Children will become eligible for funding only from the start of Terms 1, 3 and 5.

Hence:

  • a child born between 1 April 2005 and 31 August 2005 will be eligible for a free place from the beginning of Term 1,
  • a child born between 1 September 2005 and 31 December 2005 will be eligible for a free place from the beginning of Term 3,
  • a child born between 1 January 2006 and 31 March 2006 will be eligible for a free place from the beginning of Term 5.
