Healthy Schools Programme By 2009 every school in the country should be taking part in the National Healthy Schools programme. This is an important project that brings together all aspects of the physical and emotional wellbeing of all school children, including healthy eating. Medway Council's Healthy Schools Team believes it is important for children to develop a healthy attitude to food. It wants children to enjoy eating and to make healthy food choices that make them feel good about themselves. It is working closely with schools and caterers to support them in the development of healthy school meals to ensure a healthy food choice is the easy choice for children to make.
