Secondary school meals

The current charge for a standard school meal is £1.80.

This is an example of the menu provided by Scolarest, the council's catering contractor for secondary schools:

Most secondary schools also have a cash cafeteria arrangement where pupils can choose from many new healthy food options.

With the arrival of the new food standards, some schools have introduced meal deals in an attempt to encourage children to eat a more balanced combination of foods.
