Medway Council's country parks rangers from the council's countryside team protect each park for the benefit of wildlife and visitors, and by providing:
- habitat management and improvement;
- wildlife monitoring and survey work;
- park maintenance;
- educational programmes for schools;
- maintaining a comprehensive programme of events;
- providing training for volunteers;
- patrolling the parks.
Countryside rangers manage countryside areas of Medway outside the parks.
