Country parks

Caring for the country parks

Medway Council's country parks rangers from the council's countryside team protect each park for the benefit of wildlife and visitors, and by providing:

  • habitat management and improvement;
  • wildlife monitoring and survey work;
  • park maintenance;
  • educational programmes for schools;
  • maintaining a comprehensive programme of events;
  • providing training for volunteers;
  • patrolling the parks.

Countryside rangers manage countryside areas of Medway outside the parks.
