Membership of the Echoes gyms and the Black Lion gym is available with the following packages:
Adult premier membership includes:
- unlimited use of the Echoes gyms at all Medway Leisure sites;
- unlimited use of the pool areas during public sessions at all Medway Leisure pools;
- unlimited use of the Splashes Leisure Pool during public sessions;
- unlimited use of all timetabled aerobics at Black Lion and Strood ;
- free racquet sports at Black Lion and Strood (non-members pay half court fees);
- free table tennis at Black Lion and Strood;
- personalised fitness programme.
Adult matinee membership includes all of the above activities and allows use:
- Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm;
- all day Saturday and Sunday.
Junior membership (for eight to 16-year-olds) includes:
- exclusive use of the SHOKK gym;
- unlimited swimming;
- racquet sports;
- 10 per cent off the school holiday programme.
Advanced Junior membership (for 16 to 17-year-olds) includes:
- unlimited use of the Echoes gym at the Black Lion;
- unlimited swimming;
- unlimited badminton and squash (non-members pay half court fees);
- table tennis.
Membership fees payable by direct debit
Please note that the initial month's payment will be pro-rata for the number of days remaining in that month and includes membership for that month plus full instruction and induction in the use of the equipment, worth £16.
Membership is for a minimum period of 12 months.

Non-contract membership payable by direct debit
The centre also offers a membership option with no minimum 12-month initial contract. There will be an additional joining fee of £25 payable when taking out one of these memberships. Membership will be on a month-by-month basis.
