Children's library services

Storytime

Fun sessions for pre-school children that include a range of stories and rhymes. Some libraries offer craft activities too and it is free to attend. Storytime usually lasts for about half an hour and takes place in the libraries listed below.

Chatter Books

Reading groups for eight to 12 year-olds are held in the following libraries:

Thomas Aveling School and Community library Alternate Wednesdays 3.45-5.15pm
Grain One Saturday each month 11am-12noon

PlayStation clubs

Strood library holds a PlayStation Club for 12 to 19 year-olds fortnightly from 4 to 5.30pm. Please contact the library for the date of the next meeting.

It is free to come to the club and you could win a free rental of a PlayStation game.
