Sports coach register

Medway Council Sports Development Team employs and deploys a number of qualified sports coaches to implement various coaching programmes in schools and the community.

Registered coaches are currently held on a database that displays all of their contact details, qualifications and recruitment details. An equitable coach recruitment policy is in place that includes screening, induction and minimum operational standards.

Are you a qualified sports coach or assistant sports coach?

If you are interested in sports development, why not register your details with Medway Council’s Sports Development Team now?

This register will:

  • help to publicise sports development opportunities;
  • provide an invaluable resource for schools and other community organisations wishing to develop local sports provisions.

For more information and a registration form, contact Chloe Leech, Sports Development Team on 01634 338762 or email chloe.leech@medway.gov.uk

All registered coaches will be invited to an emergency first aid course as well as good practice and child protection training. This course is free of charge.

Sports volunteers

Medway Council Sports Development Team realises that sports volunteers are the life-blood of British sport. Local sports volunteers play a vital role in the delivery, organisation and administration of voluntary sports clubs, district leagues, county governing bodies of sport and regional and national sports governing bodies. These many organisations plan and organise a range of sporting activities/events/competitions for young people, adults and disabled people throughout the year. Each sports activity is delivered safely, effectively and on time. Sports volunteers do their utmost to maximise enjoyment and this is their main reward.

Event volunteer register

If you enjoy sport and are excited by the prospect of the London 2012 Olympic Games, then why not register as an event volunteer with Medway Council’s Sports Development Team now?

This register will help to publicise:

  • opportunities for gaining sports development experience;
  • sports-related training courses.

Event volunteers will be invited to a selection of nationally recognised training courses.

For more information, please contact the Sports Development Team.
