Medway Disability Youth Games

The Medway Disability Youth Games is an annual event for all Medway special schools and units to participate in. The games are possible thanks to a successful application to Medway’s Youth Opportunities Fund from Bradfields school pupil, Lee Monk.

The games take place in two stages each year. The first is the Winter Skiing Games at the John Nike Capstone Ski Centre, followed by the Summer Games at Deangate Ridge, Hoo. The Summer Games include the following events:

  • archery,
  • athletics,
  • boccia,
  • cricket,
  • football.

Each school that enters the Games receives free coaching in all of the sports and sports equipment has been donated to the schools so they can continue to participate in these sports all year round.
