The Connexions Service (www.connexions.gov.uk) provides information, advice, guidance and access to personal development opportunities for all 13 to 19-year-olds in England.
By ensuring young people receive the highest quality advice and support, it aims to help them reach their full potential.
A network of personal advisers act as gateways for young people to get confidential information and advice on a wide variety of subjects. They can help with anything that might be affecting school, college, work, personal or family life.
Since April 2008, the Connexions service in Medway has been delivered by the Medway Youth Trust (MYT) (www.medwayyouthtrust.org). The new service replaced the Kent and Medway Connexions service within Medway and is available for 13 to 19-year-olds, both in school and in the community. Unlike its predecessor, MYT is Medway-specific and provides services that affect the lives of teenagers living and studying in the area. Its personal advisors can be contacted using the contact details below.
The decision to change the way the service is provided followed changes to the way services are funded and is designed to ensure young people living in Medway have access to the services they want throughout their early years, while at school and beyond. The trust is managed by a board of trustees made up of headteachers, parents, young people, members of the community and employers.
Connexions Direct (www.connexions-direct.com) is a service for 13 to 19-year-olds that offers quick access to information and advice on a wide range of topics through one easy-to-use website. Young people can also speak to a Connexions Direct adviser by telephone, webchat, email or text message.

They can offer confidential advice and practical help or just listen and if even more specialist help is needed, they know all the right people. The advisers are ready to take calls from 8am to 2am, seven days a week.
