Medway Council reviews

Users of the Medway Direct Payments Scheme still have a care manager or social worker allocated to them and periodically, there are reviews of their needs and how they are managing under the scheme. They can ask for a review if their needs change.

Users’ Group

The Medway Direct Payments Scheme Users’ Group meets on a regular basis, offering a chance to share ideas, address questions and develop the scheme.

Direct Payments Co-ordinator

The Co-ordinator provides support to help set up scheme users and guide the continuing management of the scheme.

PO box facility

This is managed by the Direct Payments Office and is used to maintain scheme users' privacy when recruiting. Interested parties responding to an advertisement can leave their details on the recruitment line and the office will handle the paper work on behalf of scheme users.

Criminal Records Bureau checks

Scheme users can use the services of the Criminal Records Bureau to check out any potential employees. This process is managed through the Direct Payments Office.

Help lines and services

There is a number of organisations that provide practical support and specialist advice.

User Pack

A User Pack is available as a long-term resource.
