Step-parent adoption

When a family includes children from a previous partnership, it is a step-family. When step-parents are already taking full responsibility, day-by-day, for step-children, they often want to adopt them.

Parentlineplus provides an information leaflet (www.parentlineplus.org.uk/index.php?id=556). Alternatively, you can contact an adoption officer at Medway Council's Adoption Team.
