Medway Council's Adoption and Permanence Team is always interested to hear from adopters who have been approved by other adoption agencies and have not yet been offered a placement.
Prospective adopters living in the UK, whose assessment has been presented to their agency’s adoption panel and agreed by the agency decision maker, can find out more about the children Medway Council is trying to find families for from this website.
They should then talk to their own agency’s worker and ask if they would be willing to enter into an agreement with another agency (an inter-agency agreement on a specific child). If so, they should contact the Medway Council Adoption and Permanence Team and ask to speak to one of the team about an inter-agency placement.
The team will exchange outline information about some of the children needing placements with their agency.
Someone from the team will visit the prospective adopters once more detailed information has been exchanged.
Please note, the Medway Council Adoption and Permanence Team always deals with other adoption agencies directly.
