Public exhibition on Rochester Riverside plans

Members of the public are invited to attend a public exhibition to review plans on the Rochester Riverside regeneration project.

Countryside Properties and Hyde Housing were selected by Medway Council and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to turn the regeneration plans for a new community at Rochester Riverside into reality.

The developers are set to transform the area over the next 12 years, building around 1,300 new homes, of which 25 per cent will be affordable housing.

Ideas for the site also include:

  • A new community-based primary school, nursery, hotels, bar and restaurant, gym and healthcare facilities.
  • Office space and a number of retail units.
  • 10 acres of open space including a 2.5km riverside walkway.

The public exhibition, which also gives residents the chance to offer feedback, is being held on Tuesday, 6 September, between 5pm and 8pm, in the Princes Hall at Rochester Corn Exchange, Northgate, Rochester, ME1 1LS.
