PC lessons for older people

Taster sessions for would-be ‘silver surfers’ with no knowledge of computers or information technology are on offer from Medway’s Adult Learning Service. Costing just £6, they take place on Friday 23 May 2008 on Silver Surfers Day, part of national Adult Learners’ Week Silver Surfers - IT Taster For Complete Beginners sessions will be available at Rochester Adult Learning Centre, Eastgate, and also at Gillingham Adult Learning Centre, Green Street, between 10am and 1pm Booking is essential, by either calling in at reception at either centre, or phoning 01634 338400. Course content includes: · health & safety requirements when using a PC · how to switch on a computer · using the keyboard to enter a password, log in and enter text · inserting pictures from Clip Art · saving and printing documents Now in its 17th year, Adult Learners' Week is a celebration of the energy and inspiration that adults bring to their learning.
