Women's art on show

A free exhibition of paintings by Women Artists at Green Street (WAGS) is on show at Medway Adult Learning Service’s Green Street centre in Gillingham until 23 May. It was opened on Friday 25 April at an event that included Paivi Sappela, performing her last official duty as Arts Development Officer for Medway Council, illustrious local artist Stephen Turner, and former head of art at the centre Nicky Goff . WAGS courses are run regularly by the Adult Learning Service, offering tuition and creative time for experienced artists, including painting, sculpture and installations. The next one starts on Friday 2 May and runs for ten weekly sessions. Costs are £51, £35.80 concessions. Anyone who has not enrolled on any other course with MALS this academic year is entitled to £20 discount on course fees.
