Children who are celebrating their second or third birthdays in June will be the guests of honour at a mass party in Chatham. The party will be held at the All Saints Sure Start Children’s Centre on Wednesday, 18 June who are celebrating their birthday. Children will be able to have their face painted, play party games, enjoy arts and craft sessions and make party hats. There will also be a story time session, before the children are waved off home with a party bag, a photo and handprint memento of their day. The event takes place in the centre’s Boardroom Café and garden from 10am to 12noon. While all the fun is going on their parents or carers will be able to speak to visitors from All Saints Community Project, Medway Council’s 4life project, Jobcentre Plus, Children’s Information Service, Oral Health Promotion, Early Learning Centre who will also be providing activities and games and we will also have information about our Centre. It is the second time that toddlers have been thrown a birthday party at the centre. In March, children that celebrated their birthday were the guests of honour at the first of these planned parties. Co-ordinator Jo Bunn hopes the second event will be a big success. She said: After the success of the birthday party we held in March, we decided to hold another one. We want to encourage more families to come into the centre and enjoy the activities and gain some really valuable information at the same time. “We hope everyone will have a fun and exciting time.” The party is by invitation only.
