Could you be Medway’s Cinderella?

Date: 18/06/2008           Category: Leisure

The Central Theatre in Chatham is offering an incredible opportunity for a talented Medway actress to star in this year’s pantomime, Cinderella. Following last year’s record breaking show at the theatre, Evolution Productions are on the look out for a new star to appear as Cinders alongside EastEnders’ heart throb Joe Swash, who’ll play Buttons in this spectacular Christmas production. Open auditions are taking place at The Central Theatre on Sunday 22 June, and registration takes place at 10.30am. You’ll need to be aged between 17 and 25, be a very strong singer, have great acting skills and be a competent dancer. You’ll also need to be available all day, every day, from 1 December 2008 until 4 January 2009. For the audition you will need to prepare a song and read a page of dialogue – details of which can be found at www.evolution-productions.co.uk/cinderella The auditions will be held as a workshop format, so everyone who attends will have a chance to sing, dance and act, as well as spend time with professional choreographers, directors and musicians. In true X-Factor style, the poster for the show will ready to hit the press as soon as Cinderella is chosen, and one lucky girl will be going home with a professional contract to star in North Kent’s premier pantomime… not to mention a date with Prince Charming!
