Pizzas and pasta will be top of the menu at a celebration day at a Children’s Centre in Chatham. On Wednesday, 30, July, the chefs who run the Boardroom Café at the All Saint’s Sure Start Centre will be holding an Italian-themed event to celebrate the launch of their outside garden area. The café and garden area will be adorned with green, white and red bunting that has been made by the children in the Playlink drop-ins and parents. Parents and children will be able to get their hands dirty and make pizzas and pasta, which they can eat in the café garden. They will also be able to meet the centre’s two chickens, Martha and Aggie. Children under five will also be able to get messy by trying their hand as pasta treading and spaghetti paint play Community Development Co-ordinator Jo Bunn said: “We are organising this event to celebrate our fantastic café and garden area so that families come back at other times during the week and enjoy the pleasant relaxed atmosphere that the café has with its tasty family friendly menu at very reasonable prices.” The café is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 11am to 3pm.
