Shoppers are invited to enjoy the celebrations at Strood market this Saturday, 2 August. The Deputy Mayor and Mayoress will be joining Saturday shoppers from 11am to 12noon and a steel band will be playing to celebrate the first birthday of the popular market. Environmentally friendly jute bags will be on sale to carry home your wares and a collection will be made for The Wisdom Hospice, one of the Mayor’s charities this year. Strood Market is held every Tuesday and Saturday at Commercial Road car park from 8am to 3pm. Stalls sell a wide variety of goods including; bread and cakes, meat, seafood, fruit and vegetables, plants and flowers, food and accessories for pets, toiletries, cards and stationery, CDs, watches, bags, shoes, clothing and much more.
