Would like help researching your family tree? Members of the Kent Family History Society (Medway Branch) and Friends of the Medway Archives and Local Studies Centre will be at Gillingham Library on the first Saturday of each month between 1pm and 4pm to offer assistance to anyone who needs help with researching their family history. The sessions begin on Saturday, 6 September. The enthusiasm for researching generations past has grown thanks to the influx of television programmes about the subject. Next week (w/c 11 August) sees the return of Who do you think your are? The popular show sees celebrities research their family history – with sometimes surprising results.
