Children who have been inspired by British Olympians like Christine Ohuruogu and Chris Hoy will be taking part in a sports day at their school tomorrow, Thursday, 21 August. Children attending a playscheme at Bradfields School in Churchill Avenue, Chatham, will be aiming to win medals of their own by taking part in various challenges like the egg and spoon race and obstacle courses during their sports day. The group of 15 children are aged from eight to 16 and have special educational needs / disabilities. The event has been organised by Medway Council. The sports day is the final event of a series of summer play activities that have taken place at the school. Other events have included arts and craft sessions, woodland walks, a teddy bears’ picnic and film days.
