Extreme sports are coming to Medway

Skiing, snowboarding, mini quad biking and paint-balling are just some of the sports on offer at Extreme Medway. The event takes place at Capstone Farm Country Park, Gillingham on Sunday, 14 September. There’ll also be professional stunt teams displays on mountain bikes, parkour and snow boarding. Displays to watch include Team MAD, the UK's most established mountain bike stunt team. The team will demonstrate death-defying leaps and jumps and will be also be running workshops throughout the day. Breakdancing group the Foot Soldiers will be running workshops all day and performing on the stage in the afternoon. Billy Finchman, the UK champion football freestyler will perform his championship show throughout the day. Live music will be provided from Hold Tight and 2Tone. There will be an after party at The Wagon and Hale in Gillingham from 7pm where 2Tone will perform. Extreme Medway takes place between 11am and 4pm. Entry is £5 for young people aged 13 and over, £3 for five to12-year-olds who want to take part in the activities. If you're not a daredevil and you want to keep your feet firmly on the ground, it's free to turn up and watch. There’ll also be food and soft drink stalls, laser clay pigeon shooting, inflatable assault course and bungee run, bouncy castle and soft play. Tickets prices: £5 per person for 13 and over, £3 per person for five to12-year-olds. Spectators free. £5 charge per 100 paintballs; £1.50 charge to use the toboggan run at the ski centre; £4.95 charge to use sno-tubes for half an hour £6.50 charge for adults and a £5 charge for children for open practice skiing and snowboarding.
