Classical musical fans can look forward to a varied season of concerts performed by the City of London Sinfonia at The Central Theatre in Chatham. The first concert in a series of three will take place on Sunday, 12 October, when the orchestra celebrates the works of two of the best-known and most influential composers of all time. Led by conductor Douglas Boyd, they will perform Mozart’s Symphony No.31 Paris as well as Beethoven’s Overture to Fidelio and Symphony No.1. The evening will be rounded off by Jenkins’ Trumpet Concerto, with a trumpet solo performed by Nicholas Betts. The City of London Sinfonia returns to the Chatham venue on Sunday, 8 February and Sunday, 7 June. Subscribers to all three concerts can take advantage of a “buy two, get one free” offer, plus further discounts available for a special family concert on Sunday, 26 April, featuring special guest Brian Blessed.
