An opportunity to treasure

Do you want to embark on the adventure of a lifetime this Christmas? The Brook Theatre in Chatham will be holding open auditions for young actors to star in Treasure Island, this year’s Christmas production based on the classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. The show’s producers, Blunderbus Theatre Company, are looking for a strong male or female actor aged 13 – 18 to play Jim Hawkins in the swashbuckling production. You’ll need to be great actor who can sing and dance. Auditions for the part will be held on Wednesday, 1 October from 6pm-9pm in The Brook Theatre Studio. You will need to prepare a piece in advance and book a time for your audition, so to apply and receive an application pack please email admin@blunderbus.co.uk If you’d rather be one of a cutthroat crew of pirates, and you are aged between 8 and 18, you can audition for a supporting role on Friday, 3 October between 6 and 9pm, with registration at 5.30pm. If selected you will find yourself acting, singing and dancing to create the sinister excitement of this much loved story. Rehearsals for Treasure Island start on 24 November, with performances from 12-28 December inclusive. Everyone who auditions for the production must be available for the duration of this time.
