Medway will celebrate Paralympic Handover Day on Wednesday, September 17 by launching a unique primary school curriculum. Our Medway 2012 offers the opportunity for 25,500 Medway primary school pupils each year to get involved in the specially devised programme - whether or not they are interested in sport. Medway education advisers Joy Gundry and Andrew Webster have spent the past year putting together the project, supported by the Medway 2012 and public health teams. The curriculum will be unveiled to head teachers at the launch event, which begins at 9am and takes place at Gillingham’s Priestfield Stadium. The event will coincide with the Paralympic Handover as well as marking the officially designated Education Day by London 2012 organisers.
