The Mayor of Medway is Cllr David Carr. The Mayoress is his wife Kirstine. The Deputy Mayor of Medway is Cllr Ted Baker and the Deputy Mayoress is his wife Sylvia. Monday, 15 September 7.20pm – 9.45pm Medway Towns Sea Cadets navy parade. Collingwood Block, Khyber Road, Gillingham. Tuesday, 16 September No engagements Wednesday, 17 September 9.30am – 11.30am. Citizenship ceremony. Corn Exchange, Rochester. The Mayor and Mayoress will present residents who have completed a citizenship course with their certificates. 4pm-5pm. Pre-council meeting briefing. Gun WharF, Dock Road, Chatham. 6pm – 10pm. Mayor of Medway’s charity ski night. Chatham ski centre, Capstone Road, Chatham. A fun event to raise money for the Mayor of Medway's chosen charities. They are the NSPCC, Medway Child Contact Centre, Wisdom Hospice, and Alzheimer’s And Dementia Support Services. Thursday, 18 September 7pm – 9pm. Full council meeting. Corn Exchange, Rochester. Friday, 19 September 9.55am – 11.15am. Harvest festival and opening of the Sure Start Children’s Centre. St James’ Church of England Primary School, High Street, Grain. The Mayor and Mayoress will officially open the village’s new Sure Start Children’s Centre. The centre is one of 10 new Sure Start centres in Medway. 4.15pm – 9.30pm. Mayor of Tunbridge Wells civic evening. David Salomon’s House, Broomhill Road, Southborough. 7pm – 11.30pm. Mayor of Margate’s charity hog roast. Salmestone Grange, Nash Road, Margate. The deputy Mayor and Mayoress will attend this charity fund-raising event. Saturday, 20 September 6.40pm – 2am. Medway Towns Sea Cadets charity annual ball. King Charles Hotel, Brompton Road, Gillingham. Annual fund-raising event for the Medway Towns Sea Cadets. Sunday, 21 September 10.50am – 3pm. Royal School of Military Engineering Memorial Service, Rochester Cathedral, followed by a reception at Brompton Barracks. 5.45pm – 10pm. RAF Association 68th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Garrison Church, Mansion Row, Brompton, Gillingham, followed by a reception at the branch headquarters.
