Date: 12/09/2008           Category: Arts and Libraries

Channel 4 star Rob Rouse will headline the next Medway Comedy Club at The Brook Theatre in Chatham. Rob got this big break in 1998, when he won Channel 4’s prestigious So You Think You’re Funny? competition at the Edinburgh Festival, an award previously won by Dylan Moran, Lee Mack, and Peter Kay. His TV credits include presenting the first series of The Friday Night Project on Channel 4, playing Mike in the first series of the BBC3 sitcom Grown Ups, and appearing in Channel 4’s popular sketch show Spoons. The evening’s line up will also include former finalists from So You Think You’re Funny? - Josh Widdicombe, comedy rapper Doc Brown, and MC for the evening Jimmy McGhie, a former student of drama at Kent University. Additional sets from Mike Wozniack and Ben Davis make it an extra special Comedy Club, with six stand-up comedians on stage in one evening. Medway Comedy Club returns on Monday, 6 October at 8.45pm. Tickets cost £7, Medway Comedy Club members £6, and advance booking is strongly recommended.
