The Mayor of Medway is Cllr David Carr. The Mayoress is his wife Kirstine. The Deputy Mayor of Medway is Cllr Ted Baker and the Deputy Mayoress is his wife Sylvia. Monday, 22 September 2pm – 4.30pm. Mayor of Swale’s Toy Story tea party. Demelza House Children’s Hospice, Bobbing, near Sittingbourne. The Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Medway will attend a themed tea party to raise money for the children’s hospice. Tuesday, 23 September 10am – 4pm. Mayor of Bromley’s civic visit to Down House. Old Palace, Bromley Civic Centre. 12.15pm – 5.30pm. Mayor of Sandwich’s day out in Sandwich. Guildhall, Cattle Market, Sandwich. The Deputy Mayor and Mayoress will attend. Wednesday, 24 September 10am – 3pm. Kent Community Housing Trust Review 2008. Priestfields stadium, Gillingham. 10am – 12noon. Alzheimers and Dementia Family Support coffee morning. Main hall, Sunlight Centre, Richmond Road, Gillingham. This fund-raiser will be attended by the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress. Thursday, 25 September 2.30 – 4pm. Visit to Luton Memorial Meadow. Capstone Road, Luton, Chatham. The Mayor and Mayoress will visit the memorial which commemorates Luton residents who died during World War II. Friday, 26 September 10am – 12noon. Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning. Berengrave Cricket Club, Rainham. The Mayor and Mayoress will attend this charity fund-raising event. 1.55pm – 3.15pm. Short Brothers commemoration. Shorts Reach, Esplanade, Rochester The Mayor of Medway will join MP Bob Marshall Andrews, Medway Council's Chief Executive Neil Davies, Director of Regeneration and Development Robin Cooper and deputy mayor Cllr Ted Baker, as well as many ex-Short employees to remember the efforts of the Short brothers, Britain’s first aircraft manufacturers.
