Billy’s back on the crest of a wave

Tickets are selling fast for an eighties nostalgia fest with global superstar Billy Ocean at the Central Theatre in Chatham. Best known for his worldwide hit, When The Going Gets Tough, (The Tough Get Going), Billy holds the prestigious title of being the biggest selling British black artist of all time. During a career spanning more than 25 years, the Grammy award-winning star has sold in excess of 30 million singles and albums worldwide. He’s also topped the US charts three times with Caribbean Queen, There’ll Be Sad Songs and Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car. More recently Billy has written hits for La Toya Jackson and Boyzone amongst others, and found approval with new hip-hop artists including Outkast’s Big Boi, Warren G and Ill Bill. Having taken an extended break to spend time with his family, Billy Ocean will embark on a major UK tour, stopping off at The Central Theatre on Friday, 17 October at 7.30pm.
