Medway Trading Standards continues its monthly tour of the area with a visit to a Chatham shopping centre. The team’s mobile unit will be at the Dockside Outlet Centre on Monday, 6 October from 1pm to 3pm to highlight their work. Residents can get information on consumer rights, the Medway Fair Trader scheme, and talk to an officer about any trade issues that may have. Portfolio Holder for Community Safety and Enforcement Cllr Rehman Chishti said: “We are very proud to be working with Dockside Factory Outlet Centre to deliver this initiative. “We will be using the afternoon to reach out to local consumers to hear what their experiences of Medway’s businesses are.” Dockside shopping centre was inducted to Medways Fair Trader Scheme earlier this year, which helps shoppers in the area to buy with confidence that their rights are being upheld.
