Toy library extravaganza

Date: 26/09/2008           Category: Childrens Care

On Wednesday 15, October the Playlink team at All Saints Children’s Centre in Chatham will be holding this event to show parents and carers the great variety of toys available to borrow through the toy library and how easy it is to become a member. From 10am to 2pm the Playlink room will be adorned with lots of fantastic toys, ranging from babies toys, dressing up outfits, sensory toys, construction, games, puzzles and much more. Parents/carers will be shown how easy it is to join, only £10 for lifetime membership with toys to borrow from as little as 50p for up to two weeks. Eileen Braham, the Playlink Co-ordinator, wanted to hold this event to encourage more parents, childminders and pre-schools to join the Toy library. Showing them that by borrowing toys you aren’t spending out lots of money on expensive toys and this way children get to explore lots of different toys as well. Christmas can be a very expensive time of year, so why not cut the costs and borrow toys or see it as a ‘try before you buy’. In order to successfully hold this event, the usual Playlink drop-ins will not be running on that Wednesday. For more information, please contact Eileen Braham or Jo Bunn at the centre on 01634 338833.
