Dad and children’s football coaching and family first aid are on the agenda as part of Family Learning Month, which runs throughout October 2008. This Saturday will be Family Learning Day and a selection of taster courses is highlighting what is on offer at Medway Adult Learning Service (MALS), with the aim to encourage adults to enrol in a fun and interactive course. The courses are run as morning and afternoon sessions, but parents are being encouraged to make a day of it and the majority of courses are fully booked. You are welcome to send a photographer/media crew to the event between 10am and 12 noon. The football session is another way of tackling obesity by introducing fitness as a fun and exciting hobby. For the morning session eight families will be joining together and kicking off in style taking part in group games and learning about football techniques A family first aid course will also be taking place where families can enjoy learning first aid in a fun and practical way. Children will find out how to react if an emergency happens and will be given hands-on experience of essential basic first aid.
