Space Chimps blast off autumn break film fun

Date: 14/10/2008           Category: Arts and Libraries

The Central Theatre in Chatham will be screening the hit family blockbuster Space Chimps during the autumn break this October. Jeff Daniels, Stanley Tucci, Cheryl Hines and Andy Samberg lend their voices to this computer-animated comedy following the descendants of the first chimps in space as they set off for adventures on a far away planet. Ham III is the grandson of the NASA space chimp Ham, but unlike his grandfather, he’s an undisciplined punk-monkey whose closest encounter with space is getting fired out of a cannon at a travelling carnival. But a scheming senator has recruited him for a most dangerous mission. It seems that a powerful tyrant has overtaken an alien world, and now it's up to Ham III and his trusty crew to help overthrow the deep-space despot. Space Chimps will be screened from Friday, 24 to Thursday, 30 October at 12noon and 2.30pm. Please note there will be no screenings on Sunday, 26 October. Ticket prices are £3.75 for adults and £3 for children. There are also concession prices of £3 for senior citizens and Friends of The Central Theatre.
