Residents are being given the chance to see the final plans for a new and improved play area and open space in Rochester. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see how the plans to improve Copperfields, off Maidstone Road, have developed and how the community has helped shape the project. The plans have been drawn up by Groundwork Kent and Medway on behalf of Medway Council. Residents can see the plans at the 28th Medway Scout Hut in Breton Road, Rochester on Wednesday, 29 October from 10am to 4pm. A presentation at 6pm will explain the plans and give residents the chance to learn more about the project and tell them how they can get involved by establishing a Friends' of Copperfields group. Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community Services Cllr Howard Doe said: "We are looking to create a high quality and flagship play area which will transform the park and meets the needs of the local community."
