The Mayor of Medway is Cllr David Carr. The Mayoress is his wife Kirstine. The Deputy Mayor of Medway is Cllr Ted Baker and the Deputy Mayoress is his wife Sylvia Monday, 1 December There are no engagements today. Tuesday, 2 December 11am to 12noon: The mayor and mayoress will attend the official opening of Pottery Road Play Area at Pottery Road, Hoo. 2pm to 3pm: The mayor and mayoress will visit the Medway Schools’ Music Association Carol Festival. This will be at Rochester Cathedral. 7.15pm to 9pm: The mayor and mayoress will get into the festive spirit at the Kent Fire and Rescue Service Festival of Carols. 7.30pm to 9.30pm: The deputy mayor and deputy mayoress will attend the World Aids Day Event at Rochester Castle. Wednesday, 3 December 10am to 12noon: The mayor and mayoress will attend the Mayoress of Medway’s Coffee Morning at the Mayor’s Parlour, Gun Wharf, Chatham. Thursday, 4 December 2.45pm to 5pm: The mayor and mayoress will attend the Alzheimer and Dementia Family Support Sing-A-Long Carols. This will be at the Sunlight Centre, Gillingham. Friday, 5 December 10.30am to 11.30am: The mayor and mayoress will be cutting the ribbon at the official opening of STS Tyre Pro Centre. This will be at High Street, Rochester. 11.30am to 1pm: The mayor and mayoress will attend the launch of the new Arriva Bus Fleet at the Historic Dockyard, Chatham. 1.30pm to 2.30pm: The mayor and mayoress will be at the official opening of Hillyfields Play Area. This will be at Forge Lane, Gillingham. 4.50pm to 5.10pm: The mayor will be switching on the Christmas lights at High Street, Rainham. 5pm to 7pm: The mayor will attend the Wisdom Hospice Tree Lighting Ceremony. This will be Rochester Cathedral. 7pm to midnight: The mayor and mayoress will enjoy an evening at the Mistletoe Ball at the Corn Exchange, Rochester. Saturday, 6 December 10am to 7pm: The mayor and mayoress will don their Dickens costumes and join in with the fun at the Christmas Dickens Festival. This is at High Street, Rochester. 6pm to 10.30pm: The deputy and deputy mayoress be entertained at the Mayor of Dartford’s Peter Pan Pantomime. The evening will begin at the Mayor’s Parlour and the pantomime will be held at the Orchard Theatre, Dartford. Sunday, 7 December 10am to 7pm: Dressing up again, the mayor and mayoress will enjoy a second day at the Christmas Dickens Festival. This will be at High Street, Rochester.
