The Mayor of Medway is Cllr David Carr. The Mayoress is his wife Kirstine. The Deputy Mayor of Medway is Cllr Ted Baker and the Deputy Mayoress is his wife Sylvia. Monday, 8 December There are no engagements today. Tuesday, 9 December 10.15 to 10.45am: The mayor and mayoress will be at the Freedom of London parade in Southwark. Wednesday, 10 December 9.30am to 12noon: The mayor and mayoress will attend the citizenship ceremony at the Corn Exchange, Rochester. 12.30 to 1pm: The mayor and mayoress will visit the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Family Support Carers Christmas Lunch at the Sunlight Centre, Richmond Road, Gillingham. 1.15 to 2.30pm: The mayor and mayoress will be meeting the Vice Admiral Soar at the Chairman’s Office, Chatham’s Historic Dockyard. 7.20 to 8.30pm: The mayor and mayoress will enjoy the festive spirit at Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School carol service at Rochester Cathedral. 7 to 11pm: The deputy mayor and deputy mayoress be at the Mayor of Sandwich Charity Film Night at the Empire Cinema, Delf Street, Sandwich. Thursday, 11 December 10am to 12noon: The mayor and mayoress will meet the Mayor of Maidstone and join the residents for coffee at Pembroke House, Oxford Road, Gillingham. 7pm to TBC: The mayor and mayoress have been invited to sit back and enjoy Medway’s Secure Training Centre’s annual end of year celebration. They will meet staff, young people and other guests. This will be in Sir Evelyn Road, Rochester. Friday, 12 December 7 to 10.30pm: The mayor and mayoress can relax and enjoy an evening at the Chatham Marines’ annual prize giving. This is at the Unit HQ, Collingwood Block, Brompton Barracks. 6.30 to 10.30pm: The deputy mayor and deputy mayoress will join the Mayor of Havering at Peking Garden Restaurant followed by “Voices for Christmas” at North Street Halls, Hornchurch. Saturday, 13 December 12.15 to 3pm: The mayor and mayoress will be treated to a festive meal at The French Hospital Christmas Lunch. Directors, residents and the mayor and mayoress will meet at 41 La Providence and then enjoy a glass of sherry followed by a sumptuous meal at the Baptist Church Hall, Crow Lane, Rochester. 7.45 to TBC: The mayor and mayoress will be at Medway Singers Carol Concert at Augustines Catholic Church, Parkwood. Sunday, 14 December 4.45 to 6pm: The mayor and mayoress will end their weekend enjoying Hempstead Valley’s Christmas Carol Concert. This is outside Marks & Spencer, Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre.
