A group of young people enjoyed a late night organised walk on Friday (5 December). The group took part in the walk from 8 to 9pm over Rede Common in Strood. The event was organised by the Friends of Rede Common and Medway Youth Service as a way to encourage young people to get involved with their local park, and as an additional activity to keep them amused. More than 16 people from the community and five people from Strood youth centre faced the challenge of following a route across the common and through a wooded area with only the light of a glow stick trail. The group is planning more events in the future. For more information contact youth worker Roy Smith on 07717 507140.
