The Place Survey – giving residents a voice

Date: 10/12/2008           Category: Members Services / Chief Executive Office

Time is running out for residents to return their Place Survey questionnaires and tell public service providers in Medway what they think. Around 3,000 households across Medway have been sent the 12-page, 40 question survey, which is being carried out for the council by Ipsos MORI. The survey is confidential. Residents are asked to return the completed surveys as soon as possible or by the deadline of Friday, 19 December. The Place Survey is a new consultation being carried out by all local authorities on behalf of local partners. The results will help local public services and the government to understand residents' views and experiences of their area and public services. The survey is split into eight sections including public services, decision-making, getting involved, respect and consideration and community safety. The results of the survey will be available next year and will be published on the council’s website and residents magazine Medway Matters, which is distributed to all Medway households. If you would like more details about this survey please contact the council’s Research and Review team. Email researchandreview@medway.gov.uk or phone 01634 332744.
