Exciting changes at a library near you

Date: 15/12/2008           Category: Arts and Libraries

Calling all library users - if you haven’t re-registered your details at Medway libraries, it’s not too late to do so. A new computer system, which will be installed in Spring 2009 will provide a speedier and more efficient service and we need residents help to make that happen. While everyone needs to re-register, this is a good opportunity for residents who have moved or changed names to make sure all contact details are correct. Parents can update children’s details. As part of this IT upgrade, from 21 January four-week loans will change to three weeks loans. Current customers should note that the due dates of items they currently have on loan will not change. Re-registering is easy and takes just five minutes. Residents can either phone 337799 or by pop into their local library. Residents who haven’t visited a library recently should come and take a look at what’s available. Libraries have changed and offer more than just books. With music, DVDs, free internet use, book clubs for all ages and monthly music and reading events - there’s something for everyone.
