HSBC scoops top prize at the Medway Business Games

The victorious team from HSBC has been presented with their Medway Business Games winner's trophy. Medway Council's Portfolio Holder for Community Services Cllr Howard Doe made the presentation at HSBC's office at Sun Pier, Chatham, last Tuesday (16). HSBC pipped Medway Council to the inaugural 2008 Business Games crown by just four points after the five sporting competitions. A total of 15 companies contested this year's five-a-side football, badminton, table tennis, golf and netball tournaments. Saliha Hussein from the winning HSBC squad said: "The Medway Games were a great opportunity for HSBC to network with the local business community as well as undertake some team-building. "We are very proud to have been crowned winners of the inaugural tournament and look forward to defending the title next year. " Run by Medway Council as part of its Medway Games programme, the Business Games aim to get the working population our of their suits and into their shorts to complete in a series of friendly competitions.
