Date: 25/02/2009           Category: Arts and Theatre

Peter Cox and Richard Drummie, otherwise known as popular 1980s band Go West will stop at The Central Theatre in Chatham on Sunday, 15 March as part of a major UK tour. Go West first came to prominence with their top five hit We Close Our Eyes in 1985 and the following year saw them receiving the BRIT award for Best British Newcomer. Their self-titled album sold 1.5million copies worldwide and established the pair as a chart force specialising in radio-friendly soul sounds. Now the duo are back on the road with a new album entitled "futurenow" and a new twist on their live tour where the fans get to choose the songs they play. Everyone in the audience will have the chance to submit their own request with a dedication. Peter and Richard will then draw 12 of the chosen songs to perform on stage. Among the songs bound to make the hit list are Call Me, Don’t Look Down, Goodbye Girl and The King of Wishful Thinking. Go West – by Request starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £21 and £19.50.
