Summer is here

Date: 09/07/2009           Category: Learning and Achievement

Summer will be in full swing at a school fete tomorrow afternoon, with special performances from a bagpipe player and a Fijian Haka dance group. The Brompton Westbrook’s Primary School’s event has an array of more than 25 different stalls and fun things for visitors to do. Hundreds of mums, dads and children are expected to join in with the summer fun, which starts at 2pm. Parents will be able to enter their child in the Bonnie Baby competition, which will see the most popular child in each of the four age group categories win a prize. Other stalls include hook a duck; nail decorating; lucky dip; a bouncy castle and skittles. At 2.45pm, a group pf Fijian dads will perform their native warrior dance and a Scottish bagpipe player will give a special performance. There will also be a barbeque to add to the summer flavour. You are invited to send a photographer and/or reporter to the event at the school at Brompton, Gillingham from 2.45pm to 4pm.
