The Outback outlaw returns to Medway

Date: 22/09/2009           Category: Arts and Theatre

Outrageous Australian comic Kevin Bloody Wilson returns to The Central Theatre in Chatham on Thursday, 8 October to celebrate 25 years in the business. The politically incorrect and irreverent funnyman still averages 120 concerts a year all over the globe, and the past year has seen him perform in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia as well as in the UK. This year’s concert tour has been extended to three months to meet the demand for tickets. Having written and recorded more than 200 songs, and sold in excess of 3 million albums, Kevin is showing no signs of slowing down. “I often get asked about retirement,” he said, “The truth is, I retired 25 years ago. I’m the luckiest bloke in the world getting to do what I love for a living. I’ve always loved coming here. UK audiences ‘get it’ - we’re on the same page humour-wise.” The Chatham show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £18 and £17, with £2 off top ticket prices for groups of eight or more. This show contains adult material and is not suitable for under 16s. For more information contact the box office on 01634 338338 or visit www.medway.gov.uk/theatrebooking
