It’s nearly time for parents to log on and apply for their child’s primary school place for 2012.
Primary school admissions for next year open at 9am Monday, 7 November, when they will be able to use Medway Council’s online admissions form to four primary school preferences.
Rather than filling in a paper form and posting it to the council’s admissions team, parents will be able to complete their school application form online at www.medway.gov.uk/onlineadmissions
Applications will stay open until 4pm on Sunday, 15 January.
Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services Cllr Les Wicks said: “Starting full time at primary school is an exciting time for children, but can also be anxious for parents. We want to give parents greater choice to apply for their child’s school place and to make things as easy and efficient as possible.
“There are numerous benefits of applying online. For example, parents can submit their application at a time of day that suits them and applications are sent direct to the council.
“Parents who have provided an email address will also be emailed details of their child’s school place on the offer day.”

You can also collect the Admission to Primary School booklet from any Medway primary or infant school.
