A new campaign is launched this week for the Christmas period, highlighting the potential risks of drinking large amounts of alcohol before going out to a nightclub or party.
Known as 'pre-loading' or 'pre-drinking', the 'No Regrets' campaign is being run by the 'A Better Medway' Public Health Team provided by NHS Medway and Medway Council, Kent Police and the KCA.
The aim of the campaign is to highlight the risks excessive alcohol use has on sexual health, personal safety and anti-social behaviour.
The 'No Regrets' campaign will be officially launched on Saturday, 10 December in The Pentagon shopping centre, Chatham. Between 10am and 4pm, public health professionals will be on hand to give advice about pre-drinking, and how to stay safe this Christmas.
The campaign will be supported by posters displayed in a number of nightclub venues in Medway, as well raising awareness through local sexual health clinics, youth settings, schools and university buildings.
