Bully for Bully Wee, as the band returns to The Brook Theatre

Date: 07/01/2008           Category: Arts and Libraries

The Bully Wee Band returns to The Brook Theatre, Chatham, on Thursday, 17 January, 8pm. This is a rare opportunity to see four veterans of the British Folk scene together again. Throughout the 70s and early 80s, the Bully Wee Band were one of the foremost exponents of acoustic folk/rock music on the scene. The band split in 1983 but a chance meeting at the Faversham Folk Club, 20 years later, led to a reunion tour in 2004. The band now head back out on the road every year. Local favourite Ian Cutler plays the fiddle, with Jim Yardley on vocals, mandolin and whistles, Colin Reece on vocals and acoustic guitar and Fergus Feely on vocals and cello mandolin. Ian Cutler also plays with Hot Rats Duo and Feast of Fiddles. Tickets cost £8, folk mailing list members £7. Call the box office on 01634 338338 or email boxoffice@medway.gov.uk.
